Most custom pieces are completed within 6–8 weeks from the date your first deposit is paid. This timeline includes stone sourcing and shipping, design work, production, setting, and finishing.

Particularly intricate designs, specialty stone cuts, or unusually difficult-to-source stones may require additional time. If we expect your piece to fall outside the typical timeline, we’ll let you know before we begin.

Custom pieces are split into two payments. A 50% deposit is due once your quote is approved and you’re ready to begin. The remaining 50% is due after your piece is complete and you’ve received final photos and videos for approval, prior to shipment.

Absolutely. If you don’t already have a center stone, we’re happy to source one specifically for your piece based on the look you’re after, your priorities, and your budget.

We source both natural and lab-grown diamonds in antique and modern cuts, as well as colored gemstones. Loose stones are sourced exclusively for Ruby Harper custom and ready-to-ship pieces and are not available for individual purchase.

Yes. We’re happy to work with heirloom stones as well as stones you’ve purchased elsewhere. Before beginning, we’ll review the stone’s measurements and condition to make sure it can be safely set and works with the design you have in mind.

CAD renderings are used to establish the proportions, structure, and overall design of your piece before production. They’re a helpful design tool, but they aren’t intended to be a photorealistic representation of the finished jewelry.

Details such as engraving, milgrain, stone setting, polishing, and other finishing work are completed by hand, which is what brings the final piece to life.

Every custom project includes up to five CAD revisions, and most designs are finalized well before that. Additional revisions are available for $60 each.

We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel your custom project before final payment, your initial deposit will remain non-refundable, and you will not be responsible for the remaining balance. The piece will remain with Ruby Harper Fine Jewelry.

Once final payment has been made, custom pieces are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange.

Your ring will be made in the size confirmed before production begins, so we recommend having your finger professionally sized if you’re unsure.

Most Ruby Harper rings can be resized if needed, although the amount they can be adjusted depends on the individual design. Certain details, such as intricate engraving or stones set along the band, can limit future resizing. If your design has any particular sizing limitations, we’ll let you know before production begins.

Yes. Ruby Harper custom pieces include a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Normal wear, accidental damage, loss, and damage caused by improper care are not considered manufacturing defects.
