Warranty & Care
At Ruby Harper Fine Jewelry, each piece is thoughtfully crafted and carefully inspected before it reaches you. Our warranty is designed to offer peace of mind while setting clear, thoughtful expectations for long-term wear.
Two-Year Manufacturing Warranty
All custom and ready-to-ship Ruby Harper Fine Jewelry pieces are backed by a two (2) year manufacturing warranty from the original date of purchase.
This warranty covers verified manufacturing defects, including:
- Prong or setting issues resulting from craftsmanship defects
- Structural issues with the band or setting
- Assembly or soldering defects
If a manufacturing defect is confirmed within the warranty period, the piece will be repaired at no cost.
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
The warranty does not cover normal wear, accidental damage, or loss unless the issue is determined to be the direct result of a manufacturing defect.
Examples of issues not typically covered include:
- Scratches, dents, or bent bands from everyday wear
- Chipped, cracked, or lost stones caused by impact or wear over time
- Damage from chemicals, skincare products, or environmental exposure
- Resizing or repairs performed by a third party
If a lost stone or similar issue is believed to be caused by a manufacturing defect, it will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis within the warranty period.
Vintage & Antique Jewelry
Due to their age and one-of-a-kind nature, vintage and antique pieces are sold as-is and are not covered under warranty.
Returns on vintage items are accepted in accordance with our Return Policy.
Shipping & Repairs
For approved warranty repairs, clients are responsible for insured shipping to us. Return shipping for covered repairs is provided by Ruby Harper Fine Jewelry.

Jewelry Care Guide
Fine jewelry is designed to be worn and loved. With thoughtful care, your piece can be enjoyed for generations.
Everyday Wear
We recommend removing your jewelry during:
- Exercise or strenuous activity
- Cleaning, gardening, or household chores
- Swimming, showering, or bathing
- Sleeping
These activities can place unnecessary stress on settings and expose jewelry to chemicals or impact.
Stones & Settings
Prongs and settings naturally experience wear over time. To help reduce the risk of stone loss:
- Avoid impact or pressure to the setting
- Do not stack rings tightly against one another
- Have your jewelry professionally inspected on a regular basis
If a stone feels loose, discontinue wear and contact us promptly.
Chemicals & Skincare
Remove jewelry before applying:
- Lotions, oils, perfumes, or hairspray
- Cleaning products or disinfectants
These substances can dull metal finishes and weaken settings over time.
Storage
When not worn, store jewelry:
- Separately to prevent scratching
- In a soft pouch or lined jewelry box
- Away from excessive humidity or direct sunlight
Cleaning
For routine care:
- Clean gently with warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush
- Dry thoroughly with a lint-free cloth
Avoid ultrasonic or steam cleaners unless advised by a professional.
Professional Care
Fine jewelry benefits from periodic professional maintenance. Regular inspections help ensure stones remain secure and settings stay in good condition.
If you ever have questions about care or wear, we’re always happy to help.
