Terms of Service
Effective Date: March 18, 2026
Welcome to Ruby Harper Fine Jewelry. By accessing our website (https://rubyharperfinejewelry.com) or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Bespoke & Custom Design Services
Ruby Harper Fine Jewelry specializes in "modern heirlooms" and bespoke creations.
-
CAD Design Fees: All Computer-Aided Design (CAD) fees are non-refundable. These fees cover the artistic and technical labor required to create your unique digital rendering.
-
Production Approval: Once a CAD design is approved by the client, production begins. Any changes requested after approval may incur additional labor and material costs.
-
Unique Nature: Due to the handcrafted nature of our pieces and the use of unique gemstones (such as Old European Cuts or alternative stones), slight variations in color and setting may occur, adding to the character of your one-of-a-kind piece.
2. Orders and Payments
-
Payment Terms: For custom orders, a deposit or full payment (as specified in your individual quote) is required before sourcing stones or beginning production.
-
Pricing: Prices for precious metals and gemstones are subject to market fluctuations. Quotes are valid for a period of 7 days unless otherwise stated.
3. Shipping and Delivery
-
Insured Shipping: All fine jewelry is shipped via a secure, insured carrier. A signature is required upon delivery for all orders exceeding $500.00.
-
Timeline: Custom pieces typically require a production lead time of 4–8 weeks. We will provide an estimated delivery date during the design process, though these are estimates and not guarantees.
4. Returns and Exchanges
-
Custom & Bespoke Items: All custom-designed pieces, bespoke creations, and items modified to client specifications (including resizing) are Final Sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
-
Ready-to-Wear: Non-custom items may be eligible for exchange or store credit within 7 days of delivery, provided they are in original, unworn condition with all tags and packaging intact.
-
Return Shipping: Clients are responsible for secure, insured return shipping costs.
5. The Ruby Harper Promise & Warranty
The warranty does not cover normal wear, accidental damage, or loss unless the issue is determined to be the direct result of a manufacturing defect.
Examples of issues not typically covered include:
-
Scratches, dents, or bent bands from everyday wear
-
Chipped, cracked, or lost stones caused by impact or wear over time
-
Damage from chemicals, skincare products, or environmental exposure
-
Resizing or repairs performed by a third party
-
Normal wear and tear (e.g., worn-down prongs, scratches, or bent bands).
-
Loss of center stones (we strongly recommend independent jewelry insurance).
-
Work performed on a Ruby Harper piece by an outside jeweler.
If a lost stone or similar issue is believed to be caused by a manufacturing defect, it will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis within the warranty period.
6. Ethical Sourcing & Materials
Ruby Harper Fine Jewelry is committed to intentionality. We utilize ethically sourced diamonds (both lab-grown and mined) and high-quality precious metals. We strive for transparency in all stone gradings and material descriptions.
7. Intellectual Property
All designs, CAD renderings, photographs, and website content are the intellectual property of Ruby Harper Fine Jewelry. The purchase of a physical piece of jewelry does not transfer the rights to the underlying design.
8. Limitation of Liability
Ruby Harper Fine Jewelry shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or services.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts within that jurisdiction.
